Refurbishing the Tekeuch school
At the Tekeuch school, near Dieuck, the classrooms are badly damaged. The roof lets in rain and heat. Teachers, parents and residents alerted the association. Work began in 2026.
What the works cover
- Renovating the classrooms, for a safe and suitable environment.
- Connecting the school to drinking water.
- Building a sanitation block.
- Raising a perimeter wall to secure the grounds.
- Creating a school garden, for teaching and for food.

Already delivered
Two pilot projects handed over in 2025
Both were handed to the teaching staff at a public ceremony in Rosso, before the prefect, the town councillors and the pupils’ parents.
Food
Canteen at Ndiourbel school
Many pupils arrived at school without having eaten. The school now has a canteen, a vegetable garden and a henhouse providing fresh vegetables and eggs. Nutrition sessions complement it. Funding: €15,000 from FORIM, with the AFD.
Education
Refurbishment of Mairie B school
Founded in 1957, the school had never been renovated: unsafe roofing, closed rooms, unusable toilets, no water point. The works are finished and were checked on 4 June 2026. Funding: €10,500 from La Guilde and the Agence des micro-projets.
