The Association of Rossossois of the Diaspora works for Rosso, in Mauritania
ARD Rosso is a Mauritanian diaspora association, born of the bond between Rosso and its people settled in France and beyond. It funds and monitors concrete projects on the ground in Mauritania, on the banks of the Senegal River: refurbished schools, school canteens, access to healthcare and women's empowerment.

The Islamic Republic of Mauritania links North Africa to West Africa, from the Sahara down to the Senegal River. It is in the south of the country, facing Senegal, that Rosso lies: the town the members of the Association of Rossossois of the Diaspora left behind, and the one they keep coming back to.

Our town
Rosso, gateway on the river between Mauritania and Senegal
Capital of the Trarza, Rosso stretches along the right bank of the Senegal River, facing its Senegalese twin. A town of crossings, trade and rice farming, it also concentrates the very needs ARD Rosso has been answering since it was founded: ageing schools, children with no midday meal, and uneven access to healthcare.
The association's projects focus on its neighbourhoods: Ndiourbel, Tekeuch, Mairie B.
