A field visit to validate major improvements
On June 4, 2026, our association traveled to Rosso to carry out an inspection and follow-up visit for the rehabilitation project of Mairie B School. Funded by the Micro Projects Agency (La Guilde) and implemented by our association, this project aimed to provide students with decent and safe learning conditions. We wanted to verify firsthand the quality of the work and its concrete impact on the children’s daily lives.
This approach reflects the transparency and rigor we apply to every project. Having already been involved in the rehabilitation of the Ndiourbel school, we know how critical on-site follow-up is to ensure the longevity of infrastructure.
What concrete improvements for the students of Rosso?
The works are now fully completed. Here is what was accomplished on-site to transform the school environment for the young people of Rosso:
- Fully rehabilitated classrooms, providing an environment conducive to concentration.
- Newly built restrooms, meeting students’ hygiene and dignity needs.
- Brand-new perimeter wall, ensuring children’s safety during school hours.
- Trees planted in the schoolyard to provide shade and coolness.
- Educational vegetable garden set up with an adapted irrigation system.
Every improvement was designed to meet the needs of both students and teaching staff. A solid perimeter wall gives parents peace of mind, knowing their children are protected. Functional restrooms are an additional step toward equity and health. A vegetable garden is a living learning tool where students discover crop cycles and collective responsibility.
This momentum of greenery and education naturally extends our commitment to supporting education in Rosso, combining infrastructure with human support.
Why a vegetable garden in a rehabilitated school?

Our field visit also had a vital human objective: raising awareness among students and the educational community to take care of their school, garden, and trees. We exchanged with teachers and local officials about best maintenance practices. Well-maintained infrastructure lasts longer and benefits more generations of students.
We observed genuine motivation from the educational teams. Teachers shared their enthusiasm for incorporating the vegetable garden into their lesson plans, and students showed curiosity and pride in their new school environment.
